It includes the description of a proposal on how to engage social change and the legislative activities that involve nurse practitioners in Texas.

Scientific Foundation Competencies

Scientific foundation competence is the comprehensive medical science knowledge that a nurse practitioner learns in school. It involves physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology among others (Schumacher & Risco, 2017). These scientific competencies enable the NP to think critically during skills application and management. This background enables the nurses to use the research findings in their practice to improve patient outcomes. It provides a good ground for creating evidence-based techniques through their core theory, practice experience, and research findings.

Leadership Competencies
